Joi (AKA GekiCheer) is a fan character for Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger.
Bio[]
Joi trained in Jyuken alongside the others but it was noted that due to her very energetic nature she could not control her Geki very well as she couldn't focus it due to that and therefore could not become an official Gekiranger. Joi was however very good in her training and more energetic and spirited in an interestingly different way, this trait could be useful for unleashing her fighting skills, as well. She was allowed to train and join alongside the Gekirangers, but, she could not have an actual Ranger form or Mecha. She wears rabbit themed accessories that represent her usage of Rabbit-Ken. Despite not being able to control it very well she is still seen able to summon some of her Geki to use during battle. She also wears a bunny hood which she can pull over her face during battle, as a sort of makeshift version of a transformation. Joi is very enthusiastic and often cheers on the Gekirangers when she cannot join them in a Mecha battle, leading to getting the name GekiCheer for her.
Upon meeting up with Mele and Grypha, Joi happily asks them how they are doing despite realizing they are on opposite sides. This did not stop Joi from being friendly towards them and others on the opposite side, while showing notably wariness of the ones on the opposite side she still tried to show a friendliness towards them either way.
Joi eventually seems to control her Geki better as the season goes on and soon is able to become Super GekiCheer as well. This is different from the Gekirangers's super forms. It is altered to fit her experience and as such does not have as much power as the Gekirangers's super forms. She gets a jetpack that can lift her in the air for a short while before needing to recharge therefore she cannot go as far as the Gekirangers can using their jet pack super forms in that case. Joi is seen helping the others battle Long in the final battle and happily accepts Grypha, Rio, and Mele as allies.
Joi later appears in Gekiranger VS Go-Onger alongside helping the Gekirangers and Go-Ongers battle the resurrected Long during the events. Also seeming to get along well with Megumi too.
Personality[]
Joi puts off a very peppy and happy personality and shows always brimming with enthusiasm for almost anything, she's even been known to greet her enemies in a friendly way there. Despite that she knows who her enemies and therefore who to be wary of either way, she also makes sure to look out for her friends too. She is oblivious to certain facts and gets excited a lot about stuff.
